Decision-making process:

The head of the family makes decisions over children’s welfare. He is assisted by his wife. However, in case of single parenthood; mostly the mothers make the overall decisions.
Relationship of family:

The family often not bound by the Sacrament of Marriage or have live-in relationships. They live harmoniously within – traditionally as one big happy family. However, because of domestic problems; families separate. Single parenthood becomes the system; although, the children’s welfare is still highly prioritized.
Relationship to the community:

Relationship to the Community: The community members thru the barangay NGO’s and religious leaders are cooperative and they actively participate to any community endeavors. They are also helpful for their improvements. They show concern to any victim of natural and man-made disasters.

Roles:

The Barangay chairman is like the “president” of the barangay. He or she makes sure that everything is in order.

The barangay secretary does the office work and maintains and record all barangay documents

The barangay treasurer collects taxes and payments for the barangay and records them

An administrative officer manages the local government

SK Chairman is the leader of the government sector handled by the youth. SK develops the youth to become good politicians

They hold meetings and discuss problems and possible solutions and they decide as a united body but the final decision comes from the punong barangay
Relationship of family:

Family is related to political structure in a way that a family is like a basic political structure with the father being the head, the mother being the mediator and the children being somewhat like the citizens of a community.

The members of a barangay should have a god relationship with the leaders. They support and trust their leaders so that they could be united as a barangay and through that, they would prosper.

Bishop Jesse Mercado (heads the diocese) Parish Priest (heads the parish church/ involves in spiritual welfare of the community/ actively support religious activities for the children, women and elder/s) Priests (officiate mass/ do religious activities and provide spiritual needs) Laity Members (helps in church activities especially during mass/ women help in making church activities successful) Pastors (responsible for their member spiritually and are innovators for community plans.
Decision-making process:

Any decisions regarding the Catholic Church comes from Arch. Tagle, Arch. Mercado – goes to the parish priests. The church organization and other religious leaders of the church decide on finances and big spiritual activities or festivities.

A good relationship exists among the members of the church. Obviously, they are supposedly good models for a harmonious relationship with others and to the people.

Roles:

DepEd (Under the leadership of Brother Armin Luistro, FSC, plan and provide their service for the betterment of Philippine Education. Their concern is to provide education to the public for free. They look also to the welfare of the children as well as the teachers, staffs and infrastructure)

Principal (is the head of the school in a particular place. He/She manages the school, staffs and teachers for the best of their students.

Faculty. The teachers-in-charge (they have the direct contact with the students. They are our educators – to teach, examine, connects lives, improve, the future of the students)

Decision-making process:

The DepEd decides national educational matters. They manage the finances, trainings and everything concerning Philippine education. Any memorandum will go down to the regional schools under principals, to the teachers-advisers and faculty.

The school community is coherent with its community. Its objective is to give service to the school children so that soon they will become a good citizen of the future.
Role in the community:

The second home of many children. It inspires the community to become one family. It encourages good manners and proper etiquette. It motivates and give hope to all children as they are the “hope of the future.”
Economy
Composition:

Local Government, Barangay Council, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Local Establishments, Public Markets, small-scale business owners.
Roles:

The Local Government helps in giving budget, funds and financial aids. Thru the DTI, they do planning and management of trade and industries. TESDA does training to improve livelihood and enhance skills of every individual. Barangay Council gives business permit and protects entrepreneurs. The Local Establishment owners, public market stalls owners and owners of small scale businesses create the trading and exchanges.
Decision-making process:

Any capable individuals who may have capital to invest would think of a business to improve their means of livelihood. Decision; therefore, depends on any capable individual – who may be called entrepreneur or merchandizers. The government and local government help the community to improve their lives.
Relationship of leaders and members:

Role in the community:

they create and promote programs to help improve the community and its citizens

the organizations can provide supplies and services for the community such as food supplies and building materials. They can also run programs to help the less fortunate go through their schooling.

their vision is the promotion of programs that would be of help for the community. Their mission is to execute those programs as planned and to provide awareness for the people so that they can help execute the program. Their goals are to be able to help their community

the leaders of the organizations must have a background at the field their organization is focused on. They must be able to lead the people in the organization to solve the problem they want to solve.
Who are the members

the members of the organizations depend on the required people. They must have the ability to follow and execute the orders given to them by their leaders

each group have a certain criteria to follow when it comes to accepting new members. Each organization has to follow that criteria in order to continue its reputation.
